Corporeal Punishment and Its Limits in Hadiths

Having accepted that corporeal punishment of children is a wrong act, we find three cases in religious instructions which allow it to be done: 1- parent to his/her child,2 - step parent to his/her adopted child, 3- teacher to his/her student. In every case there are some limits and conditions. Of the most important ones are: It must be done for disciplinary reasons and it should not be done on personnal emotions such as anger and etc.In addition to the above mentioned conditions and limits there is one more limit and that is age limit.
