THE REFLECTION OF QURANIC CHARACTERS IN THE COLLECTIONS OF BADAWI AL-JABAL

Arabic poetries have often been benefited from the Quranic stories and its characters. The modern poetry benefited from it, as well. The Quranic stories enrich the Arabic poetries.Badawi al-Jabal utilized the Quranic story in his poetries and thus enriched his poems. However, he didnt mention the names of those Quranic characters. The present study tries to highlight the causes which, prompted the poet to utilize such stories. Then, the paper points some of the Quranic stories in his poetical works. Furthermore, the general meaning of his ode and connected theme with the Quranic stories has been mentioned.I, short, the research tries to focus on the poet's ability to link the Quranic stories to the general concept of the ode.
