An Analysis of Relations between Happiness, Self Actualization, Mental Health and Academic Performance with Androgyny in Male and Female Students in Science and Research Center in Ahvaz

Abstract:
This research aim was to study the relations between happiness, self- actualization, mental health and academic performance variables with androgyny in students studying in science and research center in Ahvaz. To do this, students (male & female) were randomly selected. Having given answers to the tests by selected subjects, the relations between the variables were statistically analyzed. Considering the results made, between happiness and androgyny variables, self-actualization and androgyny, mental health and androgyny, happiness and self- actualization, happiness and mental health and between self-actualization and mental health meaningful relations were captured (P<). No meaningful relations, nevertheless, were found between academic performance and androgyny, happiness and academic performance, self–actualization and academic performance and mental health and academic performance (P>). Depending on distinguishing the type of sexuality the relation between the variables was elaborated studied. Due to the results made, no meaningful relation was found between happiness and androgyny in male students (P>), but a meaningful relation was found between happiness and androgyny in females (P<). No noticeable meaningful relation was also captured between mental health and androgyny, self-actualization and androgyny and academic performance and androgyny in male and female (P>). On the other hand, a meaningful relation was found between happiness and self-actualization, happiness and mental health and self– actualization and mental health in males and females (P<). No meaningful relation was captured between happiness and academic performance, self–actualization and academic performance and finally between mental health and academic performance in females and males.
