Mobile-based Services of Library and Information Centers

Mobile phones have revolutionized telecommunications and communications and have had a massive impact on our private and social life. Mobile phones have had an undeniable impact on all aspects of our social, economic, cultural and scientific lives in a way that it would not be wise to ignore them in designing and implementing any information system. This article aims to introduce and discuss the capacities of mobile phone technology as a communication tool for library services, with an emphasis on its application in Iranian library and information centers.
