A Review of Engineering Education Activities in the Multi-National Companies (MNCs) Located in Iran

Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to review the engineering education activities in multinational companies located in Iran. In this study, the cost rate of engineering education, nature of the proposed engineering educational programs and engineering education uncertainties is evaluated in these companies. Data are obtained from a review of companies (MNCs) working in Iran such as the average cost spent on engineering education and the type of proposed program experiment for different groups. The results indicate that MNCs have a large investment on engineering education. The other point is that engineering education in service companies has been more than production companies in Iran. Most part of engineering education has been generally outside on characteristic development of professional and public of personnel. It is also requested from the respondents about the quality and communication of engineering education programs. The results can provide an insight for the MNCs, which can offer designs and related engineering education programs with better quality for the staff of the Iranian branch.
