The Purpose of this Study Was Examination of Effectiveness of Logotherapy by Group Method on Increase of Life Expectancy and Health of Female Teenager Major Thalassemia Patients of Ahwaz City

The purpose of this study was examination of effectiveness of logotherapy by group method on increase of life expectancy and health of female teenager major thalassemia patients of Ahwaz city. Statistical community of this research consists of the whole major thalassemia female patients 15 to 18 years old referring to Abouzar hospital in 1388 spring. Pre-test practiced for 110 Persons of clientele and among them 46 persons which obtained the lowest score in GHQ28 Public health test which is b score and the lowest score in Millers life expectancy which is a standard deviation under average. were selected as statistical samples and then sample persons were replaced randomly in two "23 persons groups" as experiment and control groups. Measurement tool of this study was Miller's life expectancy and general health questioner (GHQ28) test and research plan was type of pre-test and post-test with control group and a follow up session.After that, during 10 "one hour sessions", logotherapy techniques were educated to experiment group, and then the post-test was practiced to the both groups (experiment and control). And in the next step, after one month Miller's life expectancy and general health GHQ28 test (follow up test) was practiced again to measurement of presented educations permanence. Statistical method of variance analysis, were used for analyzing the data. The results of the study showed that logotherapy education can increase the life expectancy and general health in major thalassemia patients (P<0.0001)Also, Permanence measurement of the research (P<0.0001) showed the same result.
