Crazy Lover" Samnoon"

In mysticism, the existence of the well known such as Hossein Bin Mansour Hallaj, Joneyd Baghdadi, Abolhassan Kharaghani etc. has made lots of mystics unknown. Among them is Samnoon Bin Abdollah Khavvas (passed away in 297 Hegira). For his extra love of God people called him “Samnoon in love”; however because of a failure in a test given by God, he called himself “liar”. An Iraqi Sheikh lived in Baghdad in the third century (Hegira), Samnoon is a mystic lover whose only memory of loving life are fine speeches and effective poems about pure love.In this article Samnoon’s personality features will be studied. In fact from mystics’ point of view not only he is not a liar but also he is a truthful lover with all the characteristics of a true lover. His poems are the only surviving memories.
