Abstract:
Whereas some research evidentiary documents reveal that entrepreneurial firms are more likely to engage in strategic management practices than conservative firms, there is no dependent and integrated study in Iran’s business environment. The current study examines the interrelation between strategic management initiatives and corporate entrepreneurship degree. Data are gathered from 362 managers in 136 SMEs as research sample in the scope of three industries. The results suggest a positively deep relationship between analysis, flexibility, locus of planning and strategic control and a negative relationship between financial control and entrepreneurship. Moreover, the competitive strategy is a determining factor in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial firms show more tendency to apply differentiation and focus strategies.
