A survey on the factors affecting the utilization of Information Communication Technology in Islamic Azad University of Tehran Branches 2007-8

The main purpose of this study was to recognize variables involved in using ICT in Islamic Azad University Branches of Tehran. Based on the literature review and the theoretical framework, 8 variables were recognized and the survey was trying to respond to the degree of importance of each variable. A sample population of 357 faculty staff was selected randomly from among the faculties teaching in Tehran Branches of Azad University in 2007-8. A self-developed instrument, 65 items, each item valued by 4 scales of totally agree to totally disagree, was used to collect data required. Descriptive as well as statistical tools were used to analyze the data. All 8 variables namely: organizational, cooperative management, creativity, retention, human resource, organizational culture, and technical showed to be important for effective use of ICT in the population of the study.
