Message:
Abstract:
The main purpose of this study is to provide a model for upgrading the level of job involvement among managers in Islamic Azad University. The research methods used in this study were cross-sectional and correlational. Since this research was done in universities in the natural environment, the variables were not manipulated and the researcher's intervention was at the minimum. Totally, 198 managers and chancellors of Islamic Azad University branches were randomly selected. The tools used were Cognitive Style Inventory (CSI), and Rotter's (1978) Locus of Control Scale, Mowday et al. (1979) Organizational Commitment Questionnaire, and the researcher-made Leadership Pattern questionnaire. The results of multiple regression showed that a model can be presented to predict and upgrade job involvement based on the leadership patterns, cognitive styles, and locus of control. Path analysis also indicated that there are positive and negative relationship between job involvement and the above variables.
