Karramiyye and Shahnameh

Rabi the poet of Alināmeh (482 A.H) considers composition of Shahnameh to be the result of envious encouragement by Karramiyye. The source of this unique point is not certain. It can only be reservedly deducted that on the basis of a narrative at the end of fifth century A.H, Karramiyye for the envy of the stories about Imam Ali’s braveries, had encouraged Mahmoud Ghaznawi to collect and versify Iranian heroic tales. Perhaps the origin of this probable narrative has been the result of Shiite’s cultural vengeance from Karramiyye. Some symmetries from Karrami’s connection with Ferdowsi is seen in Chāhār Maghāle. These points probably are remainings as a general matter of Karramiyya’s relation with Shahname.
