A Comparison Between Attitudes in Performing Prayers in Dormitory Students, and Other Students, with Analyzing the Individual, Social or Environmental Obstacles

Abstract:
Aim; The present research has been carried to compare dormitory students (DS) and Students who live with their parents (LP) on attitudes and perceived personal، social and environmental limitation of performing prayers. Method; This experiment was a survey study. 1100 students of Shiraz University were randomly selected and they completed a 77-item questionnaire developed by a researcher.
Results
The results of the study show that boys who live with their parents has more negative attitudes toward praying in comparison with other groups and they have significantly perceived less personal and social limitation about performing prayer And boys living in dormitory had significantly perceived less environmental limitation about performing prayer.
Conclusion
University as a cultural institution has been successful in developing Islamic teaching. The success of the university is more observed among those university students who are living in dormitories.
