I. R. Iran's External Security indicators

The purpose of this article is to solve the problem of lacking indigenous indicator. The aim of the paper is to extract the indicators of measuring external security and assessing current status of I. R. Iran’s security. To do this, it has been attempted to answer this fundamental question that what are the appropriate indicators for measuring the external security of I. R. Iran? And how the current status of Iran's external security is?With the help of qualitative method and systematic analysis, this research has been done to extract I. R. Iran’s external security indicators related to soft components of security, and with the help of case-field study and correlation-consistency method, to design an assessment pattern and security measurement.The result of the paper shows that in the case of using appropriate indicators, security would be assessable. It also has shown that the measure of I. R. Iran’s external security, in the first half of 1388 has been 56.6 at a scale of zero to 100.
