A Comparison of the Social Status of young Children with Disruptive Behavior Disorder and Normal Children in the school stage

Abstract:
Introduction
The present study is an attempt to compare the social status of school children with disruptive behavior disorder with normal school children.
Method
The study was based on causative-comparative design. A sample of forty-two boys aged 9-11 years with disruptive behavior disorder and ninety boys aged 9-11 years old without disruptive behavior disorder from Isfahan participated in the study. The participants answered Peer Relationship Quality (PRQ) test, and CSI-4 for school children.
Results
Data was analyzed using MANCOVA. Results showed that there was a significant difference between social status aspects of boys with disruptive behavior disorder and boys without such disorder regarding bullying, victimizing, and prosocial behavior.
Conclusions
Disruptive behavior disorders have impact on social status of young boys and can predict their mental health in the future.
