Effective ethical virtues in religious society according to Allameh Tabatabaee

Abstract:
Islam is a social religion. Even its individual injunctions have a social spirit. Islam has established a strong connection between social and individual obligations, which means that the ultimate aim of Islam is not only to produce religious individuals but to produce an ideal religious society, a society in which social relations are based on religious aims and injunctions. Allameh Tabatabaee is a religious scholar who, in his Al-Mizan and his philosophical writings, has paid a special attention to the main ethical Islamic virtues and their role in the development of ideal religiosity. According to Allameh Tabatabaee, a society without ethical virtues would be a baseless society. In this paper, the writer makes an attempt to explain the most important ethical virtues according to Allameh Tabatabaee, which are responsible for the development of ideal religiosity.
