An Exploratory Study of Leadership Ritual of Martyred Commanders: A Grounded Theory Study

This study was an attempt to create a basis theory of martyred commanders leadership ritual, by using a qualitative method (grounded theory). Initially, the themes were extracted through open coding. Next, the categories were identified by the axial coding process. Subsequently, the main category, and its relationship with other categories was introduced. According to the results, "Osvegi"(orientation toward followership of Prophets and Imams) is the core of martyred commanders leadership, and this category emanates from obligations and specific strategies such as beliefs, soft Jihad, insight, hard Jihad, Enfagh(generosity) and martyrdom-seeking. the outcome of the current debate wiche resulted in the creation of a novel kind of leadership is "Witness Leadership".Finally the study introduced four key propositions wiche will be explicated in the paper
