نگاهی به یک ترجمه

چکیده:	گیلبرت هارمن در مقالهکلاسیک و مهم خود با عنوان «استنتاج بهترین تبیین»، در صدد اثبات این نکته است که همه استنتاج های استقرایی شمارشی، به استنتاج دیگری با نام «استنتاج بهترین تبیین» باز می گردند. این مقاله و استدلال هایگیلبرت هارمن در آن، از اهمیت ویژه ای در فلسفه علم برخوردار است و یکی از منابع مهم در این زمینه به شمار می آید. این مقاله به زبان فارسی ترجمه و منتشر شده است. اما این ترجمه به دلیل کاستی ها و خطاهای فاحشیکه در آن وجود دارد، نه تنها کمکی به محققان فارسی زبان نمی کند، بلکه آنها را دچار سردرگمی و فهم نادرست مقصود نویسنده می کند. از این رو، این مقاله، در صدد نشان دادن برخی از این کاستی ها و خطاهای ترجمه مزبور است. باشد که راهنمونی برای پژوهش گران و تذکاری برای مترجم مقاله هارمن باشد.

A Review of a Translated Text

Abstract:	In his important and classic article, entitled "The Inference to the Best Explanation", Gilbert Harman tries to prove that all numerical deductive inferences are ascribedto another kind ofinference called"the inference to the best explanation". This article and Gilbert Herman's arguments contained in it has special significance in philosophy of science and is considered one of the important sources of this subject. The article was translated into Persian and then published. However, the translation is not only of no avail for Persian scholars but also so confusing that it hindersthem from understanding the intention of the learned thinker who has written it, due to the defects and gross mistakes in contains. The present paper tries to illustrate some of these defects and mistakes. It is hoped that a lot of the remarks mentioned in this paper will be of some help to researchers and a reminder to the translator of Herman's article.
