Breast cancer is the most prevalent malignancy and the second in mortality rate cancers among all cancers in women globally. In Iran it adds up to 16 percent of all cancers and is the most prevalent cancer in Iranian women. PALB2, identified as a partner and localizer of BRCA2 and proposed to have some roles in DNA damage response, has recently been identified as a breast cancer marker gene. Considering the importance of the breast cancer in Iranian women population, in the present study we aim to make clear whether the expression level of the PALB2 could be accounted as a biomarker in timely diagnosis and also a deterministic factor in prognosis of breast cancer. Accordingly, the real-time PCR has been usedto evaluate PALB2 expression in blood samples acquired from 40 cancer patients and 10 normal women. Having been investigated in this Iranian women population with breast cancer, the PALB2 gene expression has shown a borderline significant increase, as compared to normal cases (P value = 0.0499). Furthermore, in this study, the correlation between PALB2 gene expression and several risk factors in breast cancer including age, menstrual state, family history of breast cancer as well as family history of other cancers has also been studied.

Reducing environmental pollution via elimination of sulfur compounds from gas condensate was the aim of this research. Whereby oxidative desulfurization from gas condensate with 3200 ppm initial sulfur was accomplished by hydrogen peroxide (30%wt) as oxidant and formic acid as catalyst. The sulfones after generation in the oxidation step were extracted through a method of liquid-liquid extraction by acetone as a polar solvent. The effects of variables: coefficient of oxidant to sulfur molar ratio (O/S), temperature (T), and coefficient of catalyst to oxidant molar ratio (C/O) were investigated. The experiments were designed with response surface methodology based on central composite design (CCD). The results of experiments demonstrated that none of these variables (O/S, T, and C/O) have any interaction, and among these variables, O/S plays a significant role with the most influence on desulfurization and C/O and T are of the second and third primary of importance, respectively. In addition, 86% desulfurization was obtained in the optimum conditions.

Pt/Zr(x)-HMS/HZSM-5 catalysts with different ratios of Silicium/Zirconium (denoted as x) were studied for normal heptane reforming at 350-450 °C temperature range. For this purpose, the properties of the catalysts such as X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, Ultraviolet–visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, NH3-temperature programmed desorption, H2 chemisorption, N2 adsorption-desorption, and thermal gravimetric analysis were used. The results show that the produced Pt/Zr(x)-HMS/HZSM-5 catalysts have highly efficient performance for n-heptane reforming with a high isomers selectivity up to 69.4% (mono branched isomers = 31.8% and multi branched isomers = 37.6%) and a good selectivity to aromatic compounds (especially toluene = 6.9%), in spite of an appropriate selectivity to light products. It was revealed that the proper structure of these catalysts facilitates the reforming of n-heptane. According to these results, Pt/Zr(35)-HMS/HZSM-5 catalyst showed the favorable properties for this investigated catalytic process.

New dinuclear methoxo-bridged manganese(III) complex [Mn2((MeO-bph)en)2Cl2(m-CH3O)2] (1) was synthesized by template reaction of 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone, 1,2-ethanediamine and MnCl2×6H2O with molar ration (1:1:1) in methanol as solvent. The title compound 1 was characterized by elemental analyses (CHN), Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and single crystal X-ray diffraction. X-ray result reveal that 1 is dimeric with methoxo bridges between two symmetry equivalent manganese ions. The Mn ions are surrounded in a distorted octahedral geometry influenced by Jahn-Teller effect. The tridentate Schiff base ligand MeO-bp-en and one of the methoxo-bridges bind in the equatorial mode, whereas in the axial positions, other metoxo-bridge and Cl atom bind to the Mn ions. Thermogravimetric analysis of 1 was studied and display the title compound 1 decompose in three stages. Finally, by calcination of 1 at 500 °C for 3 h, we prepared Mn2O3 particles and characterized by FT-IR, XRD and SEM.

Nanomaterials have achieved remarkable technological advances in bulk materials due to their excellent physical, chemical and biological properties. cerium oxide (CeO2) nanostructured doped with Fe ions is attractive due to improvement in redox properties, transport property and surface-to-volume ratio. In this research, Fe-doped CeO2 nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared by simple solgel method. The as-synthesized and annealed samples were studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and x-ray diffraction (XRD). The XRD result revealed the cubic crystal structure of Fe-doped CeO2 NPs. The FESEM images showed that the uniformity of the NPs increase with increasing calcination temperature. The TEM studies demonstrated the 20 nm uniform NPs.

In the present study, an investigation on the complex formation between mono- and divalent metal ions (Na+, K+, Li+ and Mg2+) in the form of salt with different podands using various solvents has been carried out.  Isolated complexes were characterized by different spectroscopic techniques viz. IR, NMR and elemental analysis. On the basis of the obtained data, it was observed that number of donor sites, ionic potential, size fit concept in pseudocyclic cavity etc. are the deciding factors for complexation which make it differ between solid and solution complexation using ionophores.

The purpose of this study was the surface modification of nano MOF-5 (NMOF-5) or IRMOF-1 (Zn4O(C8H4O4)3) in order to prevent its rapid degradation in the phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), along with the simultaneous increase in its biocompatibility. The NMOF-5 sample was synthesized under the ultrasound irradiation and then it was loaded with acetaminophen and ibuprofen. Each assembly (NMOF-5@drug) was then coated with a silica layer. The obtained nanoparticles were identified by FT-IR spectroscopy, N2 adsorption porosimetry (BET), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), the thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and the field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). UV/Vis spectroscopy was used to determine the release profile of the drugs from the bare and silica coated assemblies. Silica coating resulted in an enhanced stability in PBS, and the sustained release of each drug was achieved within 3 days. MTT (Methylthiazolyldiphenyl-tetrazolium bromide) assay on NIH3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells as a model of the cell line showed that silica coating NMOF-5 with silica leads in the more biocompatibility and less cytotoxicity. The cell viability was increased up to 100% for the silica coated NMOF-5 compared to the bare NMOF-5. NMOF-5 and NMOF-5@silica were utilized in the injectable drug delivery for the first time. In this study, the toxicological studies about silica coated NMOF-5 in the drug delivery systems were developed.

Minor differences in the morphology of the test, wall structure, arrangement of chambers and apertures, size are recognized as being of decisive specific or subspecific value. Twenty four phylogenetic lineages were produced by puncuated equilibrium and gradualistic evolutionary trends which observed within 50 benthic foraminiferal species and subspecies belonging to 18 genera throughout the Maastrichtian to Priabonian forms in Tethys as well as one recent species by the present authors and others. In this study, new eight lineages are presented: Clavulina parisiensis d'Orbigny ˃ C. pseudoparisensis Anan, Laevidentalina granti (Plummer) ˃ L. salimi Anan, Lenticulina carinata (Plummer) ˃ L. turbinata (Plummer) ˃ L. chitanii (Yabe and Asano), Percultazonaria ameeri Anan ˃ P. allami Anan, Percultazonaria alii Anan ˃ P. longiscata (Nakkady), Percultazonaria wadiarabensis (Futyan) ˃ P. tuberculata (Plummer), Palmula woodi undulata Nakkady ˃ P. w. woodi Nakkady, Gavelinella b. brotzeni Said and Kenawy ˃ G. brotzeni paleocenica Said and Kenawy. These lineages help, not only to define the major faunal changes at the Cretaceous/Tertiary (K/T) and the Paleocene/Eocene (P/E) boundaries, but also to emphasis the stratigraphic importance of them in different localities in the Tethys.

The purpose of this paper is the study of direct limits in category of Krasner (m, n)-hyperrings. In this regards we introduce and study direct limit of a direct system in category (m, n)-hyperrings. Also, we consider fundamental relation , as the smallest equivalence relation on an (m, n)-hyperring R such that the quotient space is an (m, n)-ring, to introduce the fundamental functor from category of Krasner (m, n)-hyperrings to the  category of (m, n)-rings. Finally, we study the relationship between fundamental functor and direct limit on Krasner (m, n)-hyperrings. In particular, we prove that the fundamental functor is exact and obtain some its basic properties.
