Considering vicinity as a mere prerequisite but not an ample cause needed for creation of a relationship, the paper investigates the interfering factors playing a significant role in social life of residential complexes habitats.Data for survey were collected through dividing the residential complexes in two groups of homogeneous and heterogeneous. In this way, we selected four residential complex in Esfahan, using a site-based questionnaire originated from the literature reviewed. As a result, social interaction among residents was measured and significant factors influencing this quality were studied and evaluated. Before which an open interview was conducted with residents and scholars in order to specify the hypothesis of the survey. The results of this study led to the following conclusions. Existence of a base for triple activities supports and facilitates social interaction among residents the most. Prompting a sense of place attachment, privacy and safety consequently correlate with social interaction as an independent factor. After all, social homogeneity has been recognized an influential ground factor.

Environmental matters are more complicated. Sustainability of environment requires an integrated approach to decisions making, planning, and management. Therefore, there is a need for a professional and systematic environmental management approach to reducing the consumption of resources. This approach is generally lacking in most universities, and therefore achievement of sustainability becomes much more difficult. This paper focuses on the comparative study of the effects of the sky view factor (SVF) on mean radiant temperature (Tmrt) and the thermal indices derived from these parameters in two different universities in Tehran: IUST and University of Amir-Kabir. The outdoor thermal conditions of these campuses because of different levels of greenery in spring and summer create different conditions in terms of thermal comfort or thermal stress. In this paper, environmental data by the experimental approach(field measurment) and they were analyzed by statical manner. The authors calculated UTCI by the UTCI calculator as thermal stress in the spring and summer of 2015. Subsequently, by decreasing the sky view factor by a value of 0.4 (increasing the shaded spaces), the mean radiant temperature will decrease by 3.04°C. These changes of Tmrt effect on the reduction of UTCI values. Comparison of UTCI index in two campuses illustrate that on average, there is a 1.28°C difference on the UTCI index and in September the IUST campus is 2.72°C cooler on the UTCI scale. The results of this study give correct guidelines to designers to create much more shaded open spaces to reach sustainable environment in universities.

Khiva has such a resemblance with Iranian art, culture, and civilization and it will not be irrelevant to consider it as a gemstone in the field of culture and civilization of Iran in Transoxiana. This city is located in the Khwarezm. Reviews tell of earlier historical and cultural links of Khwarezm with Iran. Khwarezm name has come in the Achaemenid inscriptions.Khiva is a city with a plethora of historic buildings with curved and flat common Persian coverings, surrounded in a mud and brick enclosure and the urban structure of which includes Old castle, "Sharestan" which is known as Ichan-Qala (inner fortress) and Rabaz that is called Dishan-Qala. Ichan-Qala urban structure is comparable with Bam castle. Similarities in art and, architecture and urbanism of this magnitude cannot occur at once. As referring to the history reveals that, until, recent centuries, even Qajar era, this area was part of Iranian territory. Schools of this city are built with chamfered corner plans and with the Iranian architectural style and their geometry, decorations and inscriptions are Iranian. Recent sources have proposed other interpretations based on their own ideas of its architecture and art spaces and do not much refer to their Iranian artistic spirit. There are a variety of manifestations of the Zoroastrian religion in Khwarezm. This study investigates different architectural and urban aspects of Khiva and their roots, and the identification of the cause of physical similarity, the works of art of Khwarezm, and Iran, based on acomparative style methodology.

The presence of people in urban spaces and related components is one of the most important issues in the field of behavioral sciences in urban studies. The mechanism of static presence in urban spaces is influenced by factors that generally determine the quality of social life in these spaces. The present study examines the way people are present in urban spaces in relation to each other, and in this context, focuses on the concepts of "isolation" and "congestion" in these spaces. Studying and comparing behavioral patterns in these two thresholds, and studying its changes in the daily life sequence of urban spaces, to a large extent, clarifies the environmental preferences of space users, their behavioral actions and interactions, and the factors influencing their adaptive behaviors at peak times of "isolation" and "congestion" in public spaces. In this regard, the present paper examines this relationship through applied research based on field observations in Nabovat Square in Narmak, Tehran. The results include explaining the relationship between the environmental characteristics of urban space with the patterns of pause and presence in this space on the threshold of isolation and congestion. This study has shown that factors such as the presence of active uses, the availability of comfort facilities, the use of micro-spaces, and the placement of people in the context of creating favorable social interactions have raised the thresholds of "isolation" and "congestion" and delayed the desire to leave public spaces in these thresholds.

The texture of the cities are impacted by forces like natural, economic ,forces of power, social forces and civic institutions. Reflection of Shemiranatgrowth in comparison to the population and economic growth of Tehran and increasing demand for the fine land and weather become directed to Shemiranatarea, especially to its central area, Tajrish; Above factorsand pilgrimage were shaped under the influence of Shemiranatnatural factors. But nowadays extent of the traces of mentioned factors on the natural history of Tajrishhas led to the extinction of environment and emergence of lost spaces. This paper aims to reach for a number of factors to evaluate the sociability of Tajrishriver-valley and the will to collective activities by the course of emergence and role of environmental perception and to ultimately check the feasibility of revival for the natural substrate of Tajrishriver-valley. The subjective picture of users from the environment of river-valley and the possibility of environmental perception in the skeletal space is an independent factor which is impactful on the sociability of the substrate of river-valley as a dependent factor. To have an evaluation over the subject, the skeletal locality of the river-valleys substrate is considered as a part of collective-behavioral locality of Tajrishsquare. the research has been scrutinized on its main framework and the impacting factors on the formation of the natural subjective landscape are analyzed in the skeletal substrate. results show that the existing river-valley in Tajrishsquare can turn into a sociable substrate by taking influences from “comparative-interactive perception” of nature in the subjective image of the users of the space as a part of the green infrastructure. Also subjective landscape of Tajrishis more impactful on the re-design process rather than the objective landscape due to the transfer of subjective image of the space.

The purpose behind this research, which is done on the Abshooran river in Kermanshah and in the area between Delgosha bridge and wooden bridge is to develop lively and active urban centers and to elevate the quality functions of the region and the ecological conditions of the river’s border. To reach for this goal, ecological and aesthetic criteria were in use in a way that proposed alternatives are first edited according to the criteria, regulations and compiled standards for the design and were chosen after analysis on the criteria and the design fundamentals in order to reach for the research goals; 12 indicators were regarded to find an efficient alternative. Based on the Goler matrix method and integration of it with the list of criteria, each criterion is given a specific weight according to its significance/ importance. And then the scores were analysed and were multiplied by the weight of each topic, finally the optimal alternative would be resulted regarding the high score among others. Findings of the research indicates that the fulfillment of fundamentals and design criteria has the more impact in relation to the other choices. So, the strategic plan is presented according to this point.
