Providing the protein needed for human nutrition, led to rapid growth of aquaculture industry in recent years, but this rapid growth has become a concern for biologists and ecologists, and has raised deep concerns about the destructive effects of aquaculture on the environment. . It has also been mentioned that these effects can also affect the long-term development of aquaculture. For this reason, the collaboration of biologists and ecologists led to suggest the poly culture method for optimal use of food resources in the environment, but this method has little positive effect on reducing the environmental impacts of aquaculture, so the idea “Integrated Multi Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA)” has been introduced as a new method to create an aquaculture system based on the use of all levels of food for the sustainability of the environment (biological control), economic stability (product diversity and risk reduction), and social acceptance (better management). Considering the development in Cage culture in Our Country, Iran, if the environmental problems caused by this development are not considered, it can be catastrophic. The waste water from shrimp farms and water around fish cages in the sea is full of suspended and dissolved nutrients that can be used to culture other aquatic organisms, including oysters and seaweed, the use of a combined aquaculture system in these areas not only reduce the environmental effects of aquaculture in these areas, but also boost culturing new species, including oysters and marine algae.

Cage culture is a system in which fish, enclosed in a cage, are raised in aquatic resources. Factors such as increasing aquatic animals consumption among the population and reducing the natural reserves of some species, shortages and resource constraints, and reducing the income and economic value of production in ponds have led growers to recover traditional practices and have a strong motivation in manufacturers to produce fish in cages. One of the fish major problem in in cage culture is infectious diseases and easy transmission of these. Yearly damage to the fish industry comes from a variety of diseases, and manufacturers have taken antibiotics to fight diseases. Using long-term antibiotics in aquaculture, in addition to creating enormous environmental problems, can lead to antibiotic resistance in the bacterial flora of water resources and further damage to aquaculture. Therefore, the methods that were based on the prevention of the disease became more noticeable. One of the ways to prevent diseases is vaccination. The purpose of this study is to summarize important pathogens in cage culture and develop vaccines as an alternative to antibiotics to protect them.

Vibriosis is a common disease in vertebrates and marine invertebrates that occurs in warm water marine fish(tropical area with temperature above 15 centigrade degree and high salinity) by different species of Vibrio genus bacteria (Vibrio sp.) as Harvey's clade. It is considered as one of the main challenges for the production of marine fish and Asian seabass, causing significant losses, especially in aquaculture systems in cages. Many researchers point out that marine vibrio is a major cause of bacterial disease in marine aquaculture, and pointed out that in order to prevent the onset of vibriosis, a serious effort should be made to determine the virulence (pathogenic potential) of various species of vibrio, their pathogenicity and the production of vaccine strains should be done. In the study of status of the vibriosis disease of cultured Asian seabass in the southern provinces of Iran vibrio harveyi have been isolated as the dominant isolate by biochemical and molecular identification of the cultured Asian seabass in different weights and in different seasons of the year. The results of this study indicate a high prevalence of Vibrio harveyi in marine bass fish farms, which is essential for the prevention of vibriosis.Key words: Asian seabass, Vibriosis disease and Vibrio harveyi.

Biofouling are small and big creatures (such as barnacles, shellfish, and algae) which are attached in the cage farming industry on cages and creates many problems. These problems typically include increasing the weight of the net, reducing water flow, creating undesirable environmental conditions in the cage, increasing the risk of illness and managing problems. In general, many undesirable managerial processes, such as unsatisfactory food, inappropriate feeding time, inappropriate site selection, unstructured cages arrangement, inappropriate storage time and harvest, increase the effects of these creatures and production costs. There are many ways to reduce the effects of the presence of these creatures, including the use of anti-fouling, washing the nets, removal and drying of nets during sunshine and other methods. In general, with the consideration of some management factors and considering environmental conditions, the presence of these organisms can be reduced.

Dietary formulations for carnivorous aquatic animals have high levels of protein and fat. This set of nutritional needs is provided by fish powder and fish oil. The supply of these items requires high cost and, on the other hand, in the long run due to the reduction of the amount of fishing and fishing with unpredictable supply problems. Subsequently, the consumption of these items is associated with an increase in the use of aquaculture products in the manufacture of food. These factors have inevitably led to the use of alternative protein sources in aquaculture. The high fat and protein content of terrestrial animal sources has made them suitable for use in aquatic resources. These useful supplies are from several key nutrients, including lysine, amino acids, histidine, arginine and phosphorus. The results showed that poultry by-product meal has nutritional composition and feeding value similar to that of fish meal for fishes. Feed utilization may be reduced slightly (~5%) at high use rates. Meat and bone meal has somewhat lower feeding value than PBM due to deficiency in amino acid content and digestibility. At high rates of substitution, amino acid balance and supplementation must be carefully examined. Diets should be formulated with adequate level of essential fatty acid, regardless the source of protein ingredient.

Prebiotics are non-digestible food components that are fermented by specific members of intestinal bacteria in the host gut, providing health benefits for the host. These components have received particular attention in aquaculture. They act via various mechanisms, such as changes in bacterial communities, end-products of prebiotics fermentation, preventing pathogen adhesion to host cells, modulating the immune systems and effect on gut morphology. In the last years, a large number of studies have reported positive effects for the use of prebiotics in fish. This article concentrates on prebiotics’ potential as functional components as well as their known mechanisms of their action. In addition, a number of studies on prebiotic beneficial effects in marine fish aquaculture as one of valuable source to supply protein demands have been reviewed. It seems factors such as prebiotic dosage, age, size, species, water temperature and duration of administration are influencing prebiotic mode of action.
