One of the most important parts of a vessel is its engine, which is responsible for driving and moving the vessel. The choice of engine is very important in high speed vessels. There are important parameters for selecting the engine and comparing it with other engines to find the best and most suitable engine for the vessel, such as: performance curve, power to weight, fuel consumption, etc., which must be examined and analyzed to select the engine. In this research, engine selection criteria have been investigated. To investigate the effect of increasing the weight-to-power parameter on the speed of the vessel, the Cougar vessel was used as a high speed vessel and the velocity diagram of the power with the engine used for this fast vessel, which is Seatek, and a hypothetical engine that weighs 750 kg more. It has been obtained and compared with each other, which shows that with the increase of about 1500 kg weight of the two engines, the vessel speed is about 0.6 Knut is reduced.

In this paper, a new method was presented for recovering dissipated heat in the exhaust of GM Isota floating engine and converting it to electricity using a flexible thermal anchor. The flexure uses three parallel arms including the hot and cold arms to control temperature and generate electrical power. Also, three dimples were used in the shortest arm for thermal stability in order to control the core temperatures. In other words, the purpose of the present paper was developing a passive heat transfer method and a heat generating system was employed for recovering dissipated heat to generate electrical power. Size of proposed design was equal to 40µm × 250µm, and it was implemented and simulated in COMSOL software 2018. Simulation results for proposed design with the voltage of 5V and maximum temperature of 550K presented acceptable FOM compared to similar work such that it showed the value of 2.3 times relative to the best design ,and it was 2700 times better compared to the worst design.

The purpose of this paper is to provide a different structure for powering the rotor of fast floating generators, which is more reliable and less lost than conventional diesel generators due to the removal of generator rotor windings and rectifier diodes and varistors, and by its nature, the need The generator structure provided for maintenance is negligible. In the proposed structure, instead of using diesel to rotate the generator shaft at a certain speed to provide the desired frequency, nuclear fuels and renewable energy can be used to rotate the generator shaft at any speed. Also, the generator structure is presented in such a way that there is no need to control the frequency and at any speed of the generator shaft, the desired frequency is generated at the generator output. In this paper, the predictive control method is used to stabilize the voltage range of vessels, which due to the prediction of variables, even in conditions of load consumption and mechanical changes in the speed of the generator shaft follow their reference values with high accuracy.

The sonar system is one of the tools for detecting moving marine vessels such as high speed crafts. In marine vessels detection, due to the high speed of movement, the received signal is combined with ambient noise and affected by multi path, therefore it is necessary for the system to know the environmental parameters. The underwater environment is a complex environment that is affected by various physical factors and due to the non-stationary and nonlinear nature of the phenomena, it is very difficult or impossible to study all the parameters affecting the sound wave. But for the analysis of acoustic phenomena, such as how the wave propagates, how the signal attenuates in dealing with different surfaces and channel modeling, according to theories of physics and mathematics, different statistical analyzes were presented. One of these models is the K probability distribution model, which is used to study the underwater acoustic reverberation. In this paper, a scenario of underwater channel reverberation are simulated and a resonant signal with k distribution are generated. Then, based on the fitting of the curve of its cumulative distribution function, the k distribution parameter is estimated using the optimization algorithm. The proposed method is compared with the some methods such as maximum likelihood method, the method of moment and the zlogz method, which the results of the analysis show the superiority of the proposed method over other methods.

Corrosion in the water environment can be examined from three perspectives, Physical, chemical and biological corrosion. 45% of corrosion occurs by living microorganisms, algae, barnacles’ larvae and other live aquatic animals. Biofouling or accumulation of biological sediments, begins by forming a sticky layer on vessels and offshore structures called biofilms. Economic, social and health problems are the most important adverse effects of corrosion. In this review, using related keywords from scientific databases such as Science Direct, Springer and Google Scholar in the style of "Narrative Review article (s)", "Review of the literature and article (s)" review” the search was done and the content is reviewed. Different chemical and physical methods have been investigated to prevent corrosion. However, based on biological perspective, little attention has been paid to it. The most important methods of bio-corrosion inhibition are nitrate-reducing bacteria, phage display technique, use of bacteriophage and some microorganisms. In this study, using specialized techniques via chemistry, genetic engineering, molecular cellular and biotechnology, biofouling control roadmap that leads to corrosion inhibition has been proposed. By doing this research practically, the corrosion will be controlled at a much lower cost than traditional methods.

High speed crafts by planning hull suffer from longitudinal imbalance or porpoising due to the lack of lift control systems. One of the lift control systems is interceptor, which is used as a piece attached to the craft to create balance and trim control. This piece is attached vertically in the stern that is very effective and efficient. Its effect on the lift force and the craft resistance is such that it can adjust the center of pressure to the center of mass and control the craft trim. In this paper, the hydrodynamic performance of a craft in the presence of an interceptor as well as without an interceptor is analyzed based on the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods. Craft simulation and interceptor addition were done by Rhino software. Numerical simulation and numerical analysis and analysis of the results were performed by STAR CCM + software. The modeled craft has two degrees of freedom in the direction (heave and pitch) and is solved using the overset method. The results presented in this paper include flow distribution on the craft floor, pressure distribution, trim and drag. The results show that the craft in the presence of the interceptor with a height of 1 mm at a speed of 8 meters per second has the best performance, constant trim and good resistance and will be without porpoising. Compared to a craft without an interceptor whose performance is not suitable,

Today, with significant advances in the maritime industry, body design and appendages, including Propellers, rudders, and surface control systems, have many changes. One of the topics of interest these days is high-speed vessels, which increase their speed and maneuverability. With the advancement of technology and new designs in the field of Propellers design, today Propellers called Surface piercing Propellers (SPP) are widely used in high-speed vessels. Because high-speed vessels have low levels of contact with water, these propellers cause very high efficiency at high speeds. One example of this butterfly is the Oloffson Propellers, which is available to researchers as a research sample. In this study, the Oloffson Propellers model was used to test the Propeller at different distance from the rudder. In this research, by using of ANSYS-CFX software, the interaction between Propeller and rudder at three different distances from each other were tested, and the thrust and torque produced by the Propeller are calculated in a complete cycle. Also, the effect of force and torque produced by the Propeller on the rudder is examined. The aim of this study is to provide a background for rudder installation optimum position on planing boats.
