The present study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of parenting skills training based on a solution-oriented approach to internalization disorders in preschool children in District 4 of Isfahan. The research method is quasi-experimental and based on a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. To conduct the research, first one area was randomly selected from the six education districts of Isfahan and then two schools were selected as available. After completing the Children Behavior Checklist Questionnaire - Parent Form (CBCL) by parents, 30 couples of parents who reported the most internalization disorders from their children and met the inclusion criteria were selected and asked to participate voluntarily. Cooperation was requested in the training sessions. These numbers were randomly divided into two groups of 15 pairs of experiments and controls. The parents of the experimental group received parenting skills training based on the solution-oriented approach in 6 sessions of 90 minutes. At the end of the sessions, all samples, both experimental and control, who had not received any training, underwent post-test (again, the children-behavioral checklist completed the parent form). Mann-Whitney and Wilcoxon tests were used to analyze the data. Based on the results, in the experimental group compared to the control group in the post-test phase, a significant decrease in the severity of internalization disorders was observed. The results show that all components of pediatric internalization disorders are significantly reduced. Based on the results of the present study, teaching parenting skills to parents with a solution-oriented approach can be an effective method in reducing internalization disorders in preschool children.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of family communication patterns and parenting style in the self-esteem of secondary school students with learning disabilities in Ardabi  in the year 1399. The present study is a descriptive-correlational study. The instruments of this study include the  Revised Family Communication Patterns Questionnaire (2004), Baumrind Parenting Questionnaire 1973.Cooper-Smith Self-Esteem Questionnaire (1967). These questionnaires were administered to 200 adolescents with learning disabilities. Finally, the collected data were statistically analyzed through the implementation of questionnaires. The results show that the effect of communication patterns and parenting styles in explaining self-esteem is significant. Multiple regression results also showed parenting styles have the power to explain the variable of self-esteem more than communication patterns; Therefore, the best predictor of self-esteem is parenting style. There is a direct and significant relationship between communication patterns and parenting styles with the self-esteem of adolescents with learning disabilities.

In the present study attempts were made to compare the personality traits of parents of children with externalizing behavioral disorders and the normal group of  students. The research falls within the category of causal-comparative studies. 110 elementary school students (male and female) in Tabriz were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling. Neo personality inventory-revised (shortened version) was used to assess parents 'personality traits, and Achenbach Diagnostic Scale (Parents' Report Form) was used to collect real data and diagnose children's externalizing disorders. Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) within the framework of SPSS-20 software. The results of this study indicate that children's behaviors arise from the behavioral and personality reactions of adults. The results indicate that there is a correlation between externalizing behavioral disorders of children and parents with high scores on neuroticism and extraversion. High flexibility, agreeableness and conscientiousness of parents were found to  not affect children's externalizing disorders.
