Poultry, like many animals, uses enzymes for the digestion of feed. To overcome the undesirable effects of deleterious factors and improve digestion of feed, enzymes are used as supplements in feed formulation. Supplementation of feed with definite enzymes enhances its nutritive value, thereby increasing the effectiveness of digestion. Enzymes are the most important and useful additives in the animal feed industry. Xylanases are widely used in the animal feed industry. Pretreatment of animal feed with xylanases increases the nutritional value and digestion in ruminants. In this study, metagenomic data of bovine rumen were explored and then a thermostable xylanase gene was identified using TAXyl software and named PersiXyn9. The laboratory tests were carried out to determine the enzymatic activity. Protein expression was done in E. coli (BL21) and a Nickel column was used for protein purification. The biochemical parameters of the enzyme showed the optimal activity at 50℃, and the optimum pH of 6. Kinetic values, Km and Vmax, for this enzyme were calculated to be 1.18 mg/ml and 206.78 μmol min-1mg-1 respectively. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images of the activity of the enzyme on poultry feed at 50℃ represent the high efficiency of the xylanase as an additive in the poultry feed industry.

Mycotoxins are toxic secondary metabolites of some fungi that enter the human and animal food chain and are harmful to human and animal health. Mycotoxins increase the concentration of reactive oxygen species and cellular nitrogen relative to the level of natural antioxidants that result from oxidative stress. This causes damage to DNA, increased lipid peroxidation, protein damage, and cell death. Because these components are the basic molecules in all metabolic processes, the health and function of the body is impaired.  Regarding the worldwide contamination of mycotoxins, the protective effects of some natural compounds due to their antioxidant capacity can be effective in reducing the toxic effects of mycotoxins. In this eview article, the toxic effects of major mycotoxins, especially aflatoxin B1, ochratoxin A, zearalenone, trichothecene, fumonisins, and patulin have been discussed.

Many vaccines, including killed (inactivated) vaccines and new generation vaccines (recombinant and gene vaccine) due to the low immunogenic effects of the desired antigens, require compounds called adjuvants to increase antibodies, vaccine antigenicity, stabilization of its effectiveness, and appropriate stimulation of the immune system to lead to immune responses. Many compounds have been used for this purpose in vaccines for many years, the oldest of which is alum salts, which are used in many vaccines. However, the side effects of many of the synthetic compounds used as adjuvants have led new studies to design and introduce compounds that lack these side effects and can increase the induction of immune responses. These compounds are called biological adjuvants (bio adjuvants) which, because they are host peptides, have no side effects and have good results. In this article, while reviewing adjuvants, their mechanism of action, as well as the types of adjuvants in the world vaccine industry, the types of bio adjuvants, their structure, and effects are discussed.

The use of genetic engineering in the production of agricultural products and the change of genetic material of living organisms through the transfer of genes from one organism to another, has led to the increasing development of genetically modified foods. This has increased the efficiency of food production, but on the other hand, the introduction of genetically modified foods into the human food chain has raised concerns about the potential dangers of producing and consuming such substances and raised many questions about the possibilities. The occurrence of adverse effects such as food allergies, increased resistance to antibiotics, destructive environmental effects and horizontal transmission of genes in the community has been raised. The first genetically engineered food product (tomato) was introduced in 1996, followed by corn, soybeans, cotton, canola, potatoes, papaya, alfalfa, squash, and sugar beet with specific genetic traits that were successfully developed and commercialized. Biosafety is a set of measures, policies, regulations and methods to ensure that the benefits of new biotechnology are exploited and the possible effects of its application on biodiversity, human health, livestock, plants and the environment are prevented. Even though the safety of any new transgenic product is assessed before commercialization by various regulatory authorities around the world, the general debate about the food safety and allergenicity of transgenic plants and the feed from these plants has not diminished. There are methods to evaluate the safety and allergenic potential of transgenic products. The purpose of this article is to evaluate the allergenic potential of transgenic plants based on scientific articles and authoritative Codex sources in this field.

In the present study, composite nanofibers PAN NFs/[Mo132] was prepared using polyacrylonitrile and supramolecular nanostructure [Mo132] under electrospinning process. The aim of this study was to investigate the adsorption of blister-like chemical agents such as 2-chloroethyl ethyl sulfide and 2-chloroethyl phenyl sulfide in the presence of these nanofibers. The structure of nanofibers, surface morphology, and other properties were characterized by SEM, TEM, FT-IR and UV-Vis methods. The average diameter of nanofibers using SEM images was about  80 nm. PAN/[Mo132] nanofibers showed an adsorption efficiency of about 92-94% after about 4 hours. The progress of the reaction was examined by gas chromatography. The results showed that the rate and amount of the adsorption of 2-CEES and 2-CEPS increased with increasing the amount of [Mo132], which indicates the effect and role of this nanocluster in the performance of nanofibers. In this study, the effect of factors such as amount PAN/[Mo132], time, temperature and solvent on the rate of adsorption process was investigated.
