MethodsThis was a descriptive analytic study. Research population included 538 nurses in Golestan hospital in Ahvaz in 2020. 111 nurses were selected through simple random sampling. Data collection instruments were Walton quality of work life and Whiskey and Chrome job satisfaction questionnaires. The reliability and validity were measured. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis, independent t-test and ANOVA in SPSS20.
ResultsIn this study, 32.40 % of the participants were male and 67.60 % were female. Quality of work life and job satisfaction showed a significant and moderate correlation (r = 0.36, P-value < 0.001). Results indicated a significant correlation between job satisfaction and components of quality of work life (P-value< 0.05), except for the general atmosphere of working life (P-value> 0.05). There was no significant correlation between the study's variables and demographic characteristics.
ConclusionThere is a significant relation between the quality of work life and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction among nurses in Ahvaz hospitals can be increased by implementing programs to improve the quality of work life.

Nowadays, since many health care organizations are facing a crisis of declining productivity and labor force stagnation, productivity can be improved through identifying and strengthening the components affecting the labor force productivity and performance. Thus, the present study was aimed at determining the effect of intellectual capital on innovative performance with the mediating role of health staff’s empowerment in Qazvin University of Medical Sciences.
MethodsThis is a descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study carried out in 2021. Three hundred and four staff of the Health Department and Health Networks participated in the research by the available sampling method. The Bontis questionnaire was employed for measuring the intellectual capital, the Spritzer questionnaire for measuring staff’s empowerment, and the Huang and Li questionnaire for measuring innovative performance. Moreover, for preliminary data analysis, SPSS25 Software was used as well as AMOS software for structural equation modeling at a significance level of 0.050 %.
ResultsThe results of the path coefficient among the model variables on each path, corresponding to the research hypotheses, are positive, revealing a positive relationship among the research variables. The path coefficient of the direct relationship between intellectual capital and innovative performance was equal to 0.767 (P-value < 0.001). Moreover, the relationship between intellectual capital and empowerment was equal to 0.306, and between empowerment and innovative performance was equal to 0.153, both of which were significant (p < 0.001). Furthermore, indices of fit including NFI = 0.652, RMSEA = 0.064, GFI = 0.710, and CFI = 0.769 exhibited a relatively good fit of the final model.
ConclusionGiven the direct relationship between model variables, the University of Medical Sciences’ managers and health officials should provide the bed for improving the capacity of human resources and innovative performance through developing intellectual capital besides creating a platform to play an effective role in the organization. The present study used the meta-analysis method on studies that have examined the effects of rehabilitation on the life quality of heart patients.
MethodsBased on meta-analysis method, the researchers tried to compile different studies conducted at different periods in the form of a specific subject. Then, the research results were examined in a systematic way. The statistical population of this study included all the scientific and research papers on the effects of rehabilitation programs regarding the life quality of heart patients. They were studies from 2007 to the end of 2017 published in scientific journals. 44 studies regarding the life quality of heart patients have been conducted. Finally, 10 studies were selected as a sample and meta-analysis was performed using the Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Software 2(CMA2).
ResultsResults of the study demonstrate that all the studies on the effects of rehabilitation on life quality of heart patients were significant. This means that the relationship between the variables considered in each study was statistically related, and this relationship was correct.
ConclusionIt is concluded that sports rehabilitation has the highest impact on life quality and physical and mental dimensions. Generally, all effects’ sizes are significant. This confirms that the results of all the research conducted regarding the effect of rehabilitation programs on the life quality of heart patients are correct; rehabilitation has an effect on improving the quality of life.
