  • Challenges of higher education in curriculum content based on educational justice

    The purpose of this study is to identify the challenges of higher education in developing the content of the curriculum based on educational justice, which was done as qualitative research using a strategy based on data theory. In this regard, using a purposeful approach and theoretical saturation criteria Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 13 experts in the field of curriculum planning and education. In order to obtain the validity of the data, two methods of reviewing participants and non-participating experts were used. Data were divided into separate concepts during three stages: open coding, axial coding, and selective coding, with the help of MAXQDA 12 software. In this regard, the challenges and obstacles of higher education in developing the content of the curriculum based on educational justice include: adherence to specific policies in determining the content; lack of needs assessment in higher education; non-compliance of the topic with the needs of the region and society; lack of content-oriented curriculum; The non-applicability of the content to achieve the required skills, the poor quality of the content, and the non-observance of the titles and reference books for the courses In this regard, the strategies that can be considered to remove the above obstacles include: providing content by Utilising the initiative and creativity of professors and students; linking content to industry and jobs; determiningdiverse content based on changes and innovations,; and ensuring the independence of universities in compiling curriculum content based on the topics of the Ministry of Science.

  • Identifying Executive Challenges of Life Skills Education in Secondary School (A Phenomenological Study)

    Purpose

    This study was aimed at understanding the lived experiences of teachers about the executive challenges of life skills education in secondary school.

    Methodology

    This qualitative research was performed using the phenomenological method. Data collection tools were semi-structured interviews. For this purpose, using the criterion-based method and chain-based sampling, 13 interviews with teachers who were familiar with the skills of education were conducted. Thematic analysis was used to analyse the data. To validate the research, Lincoln and Guba's evaluative criteria were used.

    Findings

    The analysis of the interviews indicates four comprehensive themes (social challenges, economic challenges, content challenges, and method challenges), 17 organizing themes, and 43 basic themes. The results showed that items such as non-involvement of students, non-involvement of parents, unfamiliarity with the life skills, resistance of stakeholders, ideological view, lack of attention to the needs of adolescents, lack of appropriate resources, irrelevant content, overemphasis on knowledge, chaotic content structure, double financial burden on the education system, lack of financial involvement of stakeholders, No budget allocation, lack of familiarity of teachers in teacher training with topics related to life skills, multiple academic pressure on students, inappropriate assessment and inappropriate teaching tools play a major role in the ineffective implementation of life skills training.

    Conclusion

    According to the above findings, it can be said that teaching life skills will not be effective regardless of the challenges that exist in this regard, so solving these challenges is one of the most basic prerequisites for teaching life skills.

  • The Role of Affection and Intimacy in the Quantitative and Qualitative Development of Teacher-Student Transferring values and Attitudes during the Design Education Process

    Purpose

    The scientific, artistic, practical and moral qualities of the teacher guarantee the formation of a constructive relationship between the teacher and the student. As a result, the more advanced and progressive a teacher is, the more he or she influences students, or in other words, the quality of his or her apprenticeship. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of love and intimacy in the quantitative and qualitative development of the transfer of values and attitudes from teacher to student during the design education process.

    Methodology

    The present study has a qualitative approach in terms of method. Considering the qualitative approach of the research, grounded theory method for analyzing information and presenting the process of transferring knowledge, ability and insight from teacher to student was examined and information was conducted through open and in-depth interviews with interviewees at three general levels of architecture professors. , Graduates and students of public and non-governmental universities inside and outside the country were gathered

    Findings

    The results showed that in the field of teacher's love and intimacy to the student, factors such as two-way emotional communication, creating love in an area beyond the educational field, student interest in the teacher's personal personality, obvious transfer in case of love, positive or negative impact Love, freedom in expressing desires in quantitative and qualitative development are the transfer of values and attitudes of the teacher to the student during the design process.

  • Investigating the Underlying Components in the Supervisory Role of Educational Managers and Determining its Dimensions and Indicators (Case Study: Primary Schools in Tehran)

    Purpose

    The main purpose of the present study is to investigate the current situation of underlying components in the supervisory role of educational administrators for primary school and then to describe and analyze the dimensions of its components and indicators.

    Method

    This study was mixed in terms of the nature of the data and was organized into two parts: qualitative and quantitative. In the qualitative method, interviews were conducted with 22 experts in the field of educational management as participants, to the extent of theoretical saturation. Two-step coding method was used to extract the results of the interviews. The statistical population in a small part included prominent primary school principals in Tehran who managed primary schools in the academic year (1401-1400). In the analysis of quantitative data, statistical methods have been used to validate the underlying characteristics of educational supervision (obtained from the first step) using Gronbach's alpha methods, CVR coefficient calculation and confirmatory heuristic factor analysis.

    Findings

    The research findings identified five general dimensions of "physical factors", "social factors", "economic factors", "political factors", and "cultural factors" in the supervisory role of educational administrators. The quantitative findings of the research showed that in the component of "cultural and political factors", the average of the experimental score is significantly higher than the theoretical average.

  • Analysis of the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats of Shokuh English Language Institute: The Case of Kerman Branch

    Purpose

    Most organizations including English language institutes require an assessment system that collects and analyzes data to evaluate and improve their performance. One essential technique to conduct such an assessment involves a discussion of an organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, commonly known as SWOT analysis. The aim of the present study was to analyze the framework of Shokuh language institute in Kerman, Iran, by applying the SWOT analysis.

    Methodology

    To achieve the aims, a case study design was utilized using the SWOT analysis plan. The participants of this study included some students, teachers, parents and staff members from Shokuh language institute in Kerman. The participants were selected through purposive method of sampling. Semi-structured interview was used to collect the required data. The content of the transcribed interviews was qualitatively analyzed through coding procedures to identify the four components of SWOT analysis namely strength, weakness, opportunity and threat.

    Findings

    Based on the result of SWOT analysis, some strengths including knowledgeable teachers, good behavior of the manager, authorities, holding TTC courses, rewards, discounts, etc., and some weakness namely shortage of physical facilities, no social event, lack of technological facilities, enough advertisement, and lack of credit of the certificate were identified. Moreover, some opportunities specifically having classes for different levels, taking advantage of virtual advertisements, using new teaching methods were revealed. However, unlike other institutes, unavailability of skilled and qualified teachers and lack of application of technology and online examinations were found among the threats.

  • Investigating the Sports Health Marketing Strategic Plan in the Handball Federation based on the SWOT Model

    Purpose

    The sports health marketing plays an important role in improving the status of sports federations. As a result, the purpose of this study was investigating the sports health marketing strategic plan in the handball federation based on the SWOT model.

    Methodology

    This study in terms of purpose was applied and in terms of implementation method was descriptive. The research population was presidents and vice-presidents past and present of the handball federation, referees, coaches and selected athletes of the national team and scientific and implementation experts with number of 52 people, which all of them were selected as samples by census sampling method. The research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire, which its face and content validity was confirmed by the opinion of experts and its reliability was calculated by Cronbach's alpha method for strengths 0.86, weaknesses 0.84, opportunities 0.91 and threats 0.89. Data were analyzed by weighted average and rank methods in SPSS software.

    Findings

    The findings showed that for the strategic plan for the sports health marketing strategic plan were identified 11 strengths, 14 weaknesses, 10 opportunities and 11 threats. Also, the evaluation of the internal factors of the sports health marketing strategic plan in the handball federation showed that the amount of attention to strengths in compared to weaknesses was higher and the evaluation of its external factors showed that the amount of attention to opportunities in compared to threats was higher.
