A Pattern for Evaluation of Performance of Units under the 5S System (A DEA Approach)

5S approach, is Step by step method that trying to eliminate wastes and pollutions of the workplace in five Steps. This method is very simple in the theory but Implemented with great difficulties are faced because it related with all on unites in the factory. One of the main problems in this method is evaluated and compared the units with each other because there is not any standard method for evaluation of this system. In this regard, in order to resolve this problem this paper is looking to create a comprehensive perspective for evaluation of performance of units under the 5S system also this method compares the units with using the data envelopment analysis (A method for determining the relative performance of units in comparison with each other). In this paper, an appropriate collection of inputs and outputs 5S system are be determined. Then, due to multiple sets of resources, activities, environmental factors and different data and output of existing data envelopment analysis have been used for evaluation of system relative performance via this way relative performance of different units under 5S system could be compared. At the end, a numerical case in on company, 38 active units in the 5S system have been evaluated by CCR and Andersen - Petersen models and their performance has been calculated then units have been ranked based on relative performance.
