A Study of Factors Predicting Job Motivation among Senior Officers: A Case of Imam Ali University

Awareness of staff motivation which is in fact seeking for cause, causing mobility and exploring the behaviors of organization members, is of crucial importance for any manager. In line with this notion, this study attempted to investigate the job motivation predictors among the senior officers of Imam Ali University. To this end, 47 senior officers were selected based on simple-random sampling attempted a researcher-made questionnaire. Analyzed based on correlational and regression analyses, the data revealed that variables such as salary, wage, promotion opportunities, supervision and colleagues positively correlate with job motivation such that 46 percent of the respective variance is predictable by colleagues, salary and wage.
