Medical doctor's Viewpoints about their Clinical Competencies in Neurologic Procedures

Evaluation of clinical competencies continuously، is an effective experience to improve medical educations quality that was applied by developed countries. 50 general practitioners of health care centers and 50 general practitioners in hospital of Khorasan Razavi province participated. In this cross sectional descriptive study، they were selected randomly by systematic sampling. Significant of practical application of each title in neurology and their clinical competencies was determined as high، moderate. Low and compared between two groups. 100 general practitioners (64 males and 36 females) with 4. 5 ± 2. 2 years of services participated in this study. The procedures such as: history taking، physical exam of N. S، headache، comma and epilepsy were the most applicable subjects. Subjects of comma and cerebrovascular accidents in hospitals practitioners were important than in health care practitiners. There was a significant different in professional competencies between two groups. based on results، medical doctor''s clinical competencies in 85% of neorologic educational titles were moderate or low، but weaknesses of clinical competencies in emergency part was more evident.
