Message:
Abstract:
Turnover is one of the common problems in most organizations which is more common in newcomers. The most effective factor predicting turnover is turnover intention. As socialization process affects newcomers, studying the relationship between socialization and turnover intention can be helpful to control turn over intention among newcomers. So we conduct an explanatory correlational study to study to find about this relationship. Our population was "all newcomer employees of Iranian non-governmental companies in Upstream Oil Industry with maximum 2 years cooperation with current organization". Our sampling was purposive in 6 non-governmental companies. We used questionnaire for data gathering. The data was analyzed with structural equation modeling and Spearman correlation test. The results support both the significant relationship between socialization and turnover intention in newcomers and significant relationship between socialization components.
