Critical Ridicule in Hamedani's Maghamat

Humour is one of the richest literal kinds in literature including Arabic literature. One of the remainded humorous texts in Hamedani’s Maghamat is redicule and its kinds regarded in this article for studying and shows that how and by using what skills Hamedani as a popular humourist has been successful in making laugh and attracting the readers. His intelligent and sharp look in identifying the ethical maladies of his time people، masterful selection and prescribing types of humour as suitable for the classes of Abbassi’s society imply a skillful physician or a scholar teacher who informs the public of the indirect humourous advices effect in instruction and training. In this survey، we found out that as the Hamedani’s aim is to modify the society، the ethical ridicule in his Maghamat is a lot but he hasn’t applied the personal redicule. Finally، we succeeded in giving a definition of critical redicule (altahkomo-al-fokahi).
