Background And Objectives
The culture affected by the Ashura mourning ceremony is an abiding man-making school fighting against injustice, directing towards goodwill, forbidding the evil, and inciting the pure human emotions to prosperity and values victory against anti-values. This paper addresses the study of Ashura mourning ceremony on the public security in Zahedan City in 2013.
Methodology
In terms of its objectives, this study is of an applied research and in terms of its methodology it is of a descriptive-analytic research type. The statistical population of the study includes all the male and female residents in Zahedan City. Based on the census conducted in 2011, the residents were 660575 persons among whom 500 individuals were selected using cluster sampling method. The data were collected using a valid and reliable questionnaire (α=.83) and analyzed via SPSS software and ANOVA and t-tests.Findings and
Results
The research showed that Ashura mourning ceremonies had the maximum effect on unity dimensions of ethnic and religious groups in Zahedan City and the correlation rate was 0/796.
