Social Factors Affecting recidivism (Case Study of Kermanshah)

Today, with the rapid growth of urbanization, industrialization, modernization and increase in population, the different problems in different societies come into being, which is one of the most important problems of offenders and prisoners. This problem becomes more acute when, to witness the phenomenon of recidivism and relapse to crime and to be prison inmates. This study aimed to investigate the influence of social factors on recidivism in the city of Kermanshah. Objective of a functional review, extensive in scope, in terms of the scope and reason in terms of time is a cross-sectional study. The method in this research field using survey techniques, and tools for data collection questionnaire. The sample size in this study is 150. This study sought to examine the relationship between variables such as feeling of exclusion, life satisfaction, religiosity, social participation, economic status and age as independent variables and recidivism as the dependent variable. The results show that: the sense of deprivation (0/47), life satisfaction (-0/44), religion (-0/46), community involvement (-0/23) and economic status (-0/30) with recidivism among offenders there is a significant relationship, but there was no significant relationship between age and recidivism.
