The Role of Mediator Variables Between Organizational Socialization and Organizational Citizenship Behavior
The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential effects of organizational socialization (OS) on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). For this purpose, the role of mediator variables such as; ethical climate (EC), organizational identification (OI) and organizational commitment (OC), were studied. According to these variables, 10 hypotheses were developed to examine the relationship between these variables mutually. Questionnaires were distributed between Imam Ali (AS) hospital employees. The sample was of 315 employees. In order to test the hypothesis in the end, LISREL software and Structural Equation Model (SEM) is used. The findings indicates that organizational socialization has a significant positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior ethical climate, organizational identification and organizational commitment. Ethical climate has a significant positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior, organizational identification and organizational commitment. Organizationa identification has a significant positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior and organizational commitment. Finally, findings also indicates that relation between organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior is positive.
