Amendment Islamic Revolution in Larestan

The present paper is an attempt to study backgrounds and development of Islamic Revolution in Larestan. The contention of this paper is that the Islamic Revolution through the networks of the clerics and revolutionary activities expanded in Larestan. In this regard, the role of different strata, including clerics, bazaaris, and academics has been explained through descriptive method. The necessary data were collected through interview, documents and library resources. Based on the findings of this research, special religious and ideological situation of the people of the region and adherence to religious doctrines led the majority of people to join the course of revolution. The role of clerics was stronger than other strata or groups. Ayatollah Khomeini led the Islamic movement since the beginning of the revolution, who was supported by outstanding clerics, including Seyyed Abdlali Ayatollahi, Seyyed Mohammad Nasabeh, etc. As a result, people tilted towards the movement and this orientation intensified anti-regime activities with a religious direction.
