Demographic and Methodological Study of Muslims in Contemporary World
This article primarily focuses on the methodological challenges related to the religious identity of Muslims in the contemporary world. Dedliberate study of the literature clearly indicates the fact that Muslims have been in forefront attention of a substantially growing body of studies in the more recent years. This article has highlighted the main socio-economic and demographic characteristics of Muslims both globally and regionally including the Islamic countries, Europe, the US and the Pasific. The underlying conclusion of this analysis emphasizes the key methodological strategy. It states as Muslims are substantially heterogeneous populations, their various socio-economic contexts must be considered in the related studies to avoid delivering misleading knowledge. This methodological strategy tends to particulary apply to Muslims who are the worlds fastest-growing population.
