Evaluation of academic library management using nine criteria of the EFQM (CASE STUDY: IAU 6 Zones)

Abstract:
This applied to evaluate and assess the quality of management performance IAU six regional university libraries using the EFQM model is a descriptive method. Information collected through 12 academic units, employees and managers of large, very large and comprehensive regional university six non-random sampling was collected. Data has been analyzed by statistical method. Results show that performance in six university libraries in comparison with the criteria of the European Foundation for Quality Management Excellence Model (EFQM) in less than 5% (sig = 0.0002) is located. Scores of enabling factors (in the areas of leadership, policy, personnel, resources, partnership and management processes) reflects the fact that the quality management in the libraries, are at an intermediate level. Criteria relating to results (in the fields of clients, staff and community performance) of the nine criteria of the European Foundation for Quality Management Excellence Model EFQM, the current situation with the ideal situation, there is no significant difference.
