Some Fall Hints of Pahlavi Regime in its Final Years

Author(s):
Abstract:
In this article the six major factors showing the collapse of Pahlavi Regime in Iran are noted. First, the Shah’s despotism and his tyranny; second, plundering people’s assets and the country’s facilities by Pahlavi royal family; third, vast corruption in different fields of economy, finance, and ethics that had included all aspects of Pahlavi regime; fourth, dictatorship and the Shah’s secret police (SAVAK)’s violence in suppressing the freedom-seekers; fifth, dependence of the Shah and his government to the western powers particularly the US and UK in a way that all principal decision had to be confirmed by them which was vanishing the country’s independence; and finally sixth, secret and in some cases clear expanded relations with the expansionist Israeli regime which was destroying Iranian credit among Muslim nations. This article is documenting each of these factors based on western journalistic reports during that period. Here, the author has only narrated the evaluation and judgments of people and journal of that time. The time when Shah was at his highest point of authority and most the western periodical would untruthfully praise him and thus charging his megalomaniac in order to share his plundering.
