Abstract:
Sharjah is one of the emirates in UAE and its capital with the same name is the second city of Gavasem realm. Sharjah is Capital of the second rule of Gavasem by leadership of Sheikh Sultan ibn Saghar. In 1820/1235 England signed a contract with Sheikh sultan and other four people of Arab Sheikhs in which Sharjah became independent emirate. However, in the reason of strategic situation of Sharjah and its influence on safety of sea ways of Persian Gulf, England has always interfered in internal affairs of Sharjah and in the result, it has had many ups and downs and tensions. Finally, Sharjah in the period of Sheikh Khaled ibn Mohammad Ghasemi (1343/1965-1350/1972), like other emirates interred in union negotiations and in December 2, 1391/1971 became independent as one of the seven emirates of UAE. In political geography point of view, Sharjah should be known as the most dispersed emirate in Emirates which has a common border with all other six emirates and king of Oman. Over time numerous tribes have emigrated to Sharjah and because none have been real owner of Sharjah lands, they always have quarreled with each other: Gheitab and Ghafer, the most important tribes in Sharjah and Ghavasem (who consider themselves as prophet generation but they are from bani Havalah); Abadelah : Ali family (who some of them are Iranian); Havalah: some tribes of bani yas like: Bumaher(Bumahir) family and Marar; Matarish; Naeem; Naghbeen; Shargheen; Shovaiheen; Tanaeej; Za’ab; Manaseer and Mazaree’ are also from other tribes in Sharjah who often are Hanbali.
