Media Discourse of ISIS, Jaysh Rijal Al-Tariqa Al-Naqshbandi; Comparative Study

Abstract:
After the collapse of Saddam's regime in 2003, the Iraqi state has become a showcase for Takfiri and extremist groups. A place that affected the entire region of West Asia and other parts of the world after a few years. Meanwhile, the fall of Mosul in 2014 was a turning point, the main factor behind which was called ISIS. Groups and other currents also helped the fall of Mosul, one of which was called "Jish Rijal al-Tabriqa al-Nahashbandia". This paper attempts to show that the mere co-operation of the two groups in the fall of Mosul cannot indicate the ideological proximity of these two groups. In fact, the two groups are fundamentally different in discourse issues such as including the philosophy of formation and long-term goals and legitimacy and identity. The fact that the fall of Mosul as a cross-sectional and tactical goal rather than discursive and ideological issues brought about the proximity of the two groups.
