Impact of America's New Strategy on Iran's Regional Position

"General definition of Iran" and the principles of confrontation with Iran is common to all the US governments. But there are some contrasts among them regarding the approaches, type of confrontation and intensity. Also the proportion of the threats posed by Iran comparing to other threats, is a matter of dispute. Understanding of these contrasts and dispute in order to design a mutual action is of the essence. The main differences in the attitude and position of the Tramp administration with previous ones are; removal of dealing approach with Iran, prioritizing the threats posed by Iran and Shitte over the threats posed by Sunni and the need for engaging with Shiites instead of Sunnis. Obvious evidence, of course, shows that the confrontation between the United States and Iran in the Trump era, as previous decades, will be subject to a long-term trend and numerous dimensions.
