Relationship between Virtuous Leadership Psychological Well-being Mediating Trust among Teachers

Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to identify the role of virtuous leadership in the enhancement of teachers psychological well-being with intermediacy of trust. The research method was correlation and based on structural equations model. The study population included all elementary schools teachers at the Hamadan province of the number 8567 people and sample size of 368 subjects was determined based on the Cochran formula. For collecting data was used from the three questionnaires with items: virtuous leadership, psychological well-being and trust. Data were analyzed by SPSS and LISREL. Results showed that the direct effect virtuous leadership on psychological well-being and trust was positive and significant. In addition, the indirect effect virtuous leadership on psychological well-being by mediating of trust was positive and significant. Accordingly, in order to promote teachers psychological well-being, schools administrators can focus on mechanisms of virtuous leadership and in the process utilize the variables such as trust.
