Analysis of Researchers'''' Information Seeking Behavior in National Search Engine Thesis Information System in Iran

An important mission of any information system is to provide the best service tailored to the needs of users. This increases users'' satisfaction and interest in using information systems. Nowadays, search engines are one of the most important tools in the recovery of pets and provide a variety of pets for many users. Students, university professors, and tutors pay for search engines on a daily basis and meet their basic needs. Treasure Database (Iranian Scientific Treasury) The Iranian Institute of Information Science and Technology, with 870,000 scientific records, enables researchers to search for dissertations, internal scientific journals, articles, conferences, research projects and government reports. It is obvious that users are influenced by different ways to obtain information and exhibit different information-seeking behaviors. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the information search behavior of users in the search engine of the treasure system. Analyzing users'' search behavior can help them better understand their needs. The results of the analysis indicate that the attendance rate is very low compared to the non-attendance time and the attendance hours vary among researchers in the humanities and engineering. The results of this analysis can also help to evaluate and resolve existing search engine retrieval issues.
