Divergence and convergence of Wahhabism and new-Ottomanism in the Syrian case

Turkey and Saudi Arabia, with different security approaches, have two conflicting views and approaches in the Middle East that are evident in the Syrian crisis. The crisis in Syria has led to ideological and geopolitical queues of regional areas in the formulation of interests and opposition in Syria. Turkey and Saudi Arabia by two difference models of governance looking for deepening their interests in the future of Syria by using the articulation of strategic propositions, such as the New-Ottomanism and Wahhabi's Salafism ideology. This research, along with the genealogy of these two theories, seeks to explain and interpret the conflicting arenas of these two security and thought approaches. The methodology of this research is based on the contrast between security approaches and the research methodology is analytical / descriptive.
