Run up estimation due to interaction solitary wave with nonlinear slope beaches using SPH method

Abstract:
It has become common to use a solitary wave as a model of tsunami waves. Smooth particle Hydrodynamic method (SPH) is without grid and based on the particle. This method is good for simulation of the nonlinear waves and generally free surface problems. The aim of this research is investigation the impact of non-linear slope beaches compared to that linear mode on run up solitary wave by SPH method. Also wave hydrodynamic properties are investigated in different time intervals. Comparison the experimental and analytical method are showed that present SPH method Percentage error is about 3.5 percent compared to experimental data. So it can be concluded that the presented SPH method has high accuracy to run up calculation for different Slopes. Results showed that solitary wave run up on the nonlinear slope beach is more than linear mode. Also difference in solitary wave run up value in linear and nonlinear slop increase by increasing the curvature of the slope
