Abstract:
Economic resistance is one of the most important concerns of the country in recent years. Measuring economic resistance is one of the important issues that can help planners achieve their goals. In this paper, using the experience in assessing the resilience of the economy, we measured the economic resistance of Iran during the period of 2000-2016. Economic sustainability indicators include Business Focus, Health Banking, Business Dependency, International Reserves, External Consolidation, Private Debt, Good Governance, Governance Effectiveness, stability of the macroeconomic and dependence of the budget on oil. The results show that the economic resistance index has a rising trend until 2001, and then it has been continuously declining from 2002 to 2009, which reached its lowest level in the year 2009. Then the growing trend will continue until the year 2011, and this indicator will decrease with events that occurred in the year 2012 and international sanctions. Since 2013, we are seeing an upward trend.
