Analysis of capabilities affecting Resilience of Supply Chain Using the ISM and ANP Combined Approach (Case Study: Isfahan Steel Company)
Supply chain management is a comprehensive philosophy for handling the flow of distribution channels from supplier to consumer. And resilience can be stated as the ability of the supply chain to respond to unexpected events and maintain the continuity of network operations at a desirable level. In this research, combined approach of interpretive structural modeling and network analysis process is used to identify, interpret and validate major capabilities affecting the supply chain resiliency. To collect data, while reviewing the pertinent literature, 35 supply chain specialists were interviewed in order to evaluate and select the capabilities affecting the supply chain resilience, and finally 17 factors were identified. A questionnaire was used to perform a paired comparison. Then, an ISM-based framework was used to identify the relationships and interactions among the factors which were ranked via ANP method. The results indicate that inventory capacity has the greatest impact on the resilience of the supply chain, followed by agility capability and flexibility capability respectively. The ability to share information has the least impact on the resilience of the supply chain.
