The effectiveness of group reality therapy on aggression and anxiety in child laborers
Aggression and anxiety are important factors for future risk such as delinquency in children and, based on research, children in child laborers have high levels of aggression and anxiety. The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness oof group reality therapy on aggression and anxiety in child laborers. This experimental study was conducted with a pretest-posttest design with control group. The statistical population of this study included all the child laborers of cultural-support center Koosha Tehran city in year 2019. In this study 30 child laborers were considered as the sample size in two experimental groups (15 childern) and control (15 childern). The experimental group underwent 12 sessions analysis group reality therapy 60 minutes and While the control group received no intervention and remained in the waiting list. To collect data Eysenck aggression inventory (1975) and Beck anxiety inventory (1988). Data analysis was performed using multivariate analysis of covariance. The results showed that analysis group reality therapy significantly on aggression and anxiety in child laborers. Therefore, it can be concluded that the group reality therapy used in this study can improve the emotional (aggression and anxiety). Based on the results, it is recommended that to use group reality therapy along with other training methods for reduce aggression and improve anxiety in child laborers.
