Holy defense in Mohammad-Ali Basheh Ahangar's Films; Study of "The Child of Dust", "The Queen", "Underwater Cedar"

main assumption of this research is that this filmmaker has a special way of representing war. Examining and focusing on this filmmaker movies including including "The Child of Dust" (2007), "The Queen" (2007), "Underwater Cedar" (2018), this study aim is to explain his points of view about the war and its issues. In this respect, a theoretical, purposeful sampling, and combined semiotic analysis has been used. Thus, Analyze of Structure (1380) method has been used for visual data and Barthes' narration model has been used to analyze texts. This study is showed that director has a unique approach in his films to simultaneously be in both categories of war cinema and criticism of war cinema. In other words, his approach has not followed a particular ideology, he has used criticize language, and has often used the main themes of war cinema genre, such as aversion and reverence for martyrdom. Such a point of view to the war is because of his direct experiences in war as a combatant, and has led him to represent the image of a war with a realistic approach. On the other hand, unlike many cinema of war, his emphasis is on social aspects and humanitarian consequences. This director is trying to represents a realistic, truth-based image of what happens in the war for human and their fate.
