Structural Model of Relationship between Conflict Management Styles and Innovative Behaviors Mediated by Work’ Conscience and Happiness
The aim of the present study was to investigate the structural relationships of conflict management styles and innovative behaviors with the mediation of work conscience and happiness. The method of the present study was descriptive (non-experimental) and the correlational research design was analysis that, based on simple random sampling method, 248 people from the statistical population of all employees of Lorestan University of Medical Sciences were selected as a sample. Then, they answered the questionnaires of conflict management styles, work conscience, innovative behavior and happiness questionnaire. According to path analysis test, the findings showed that problem solving style, compromise style and flexibility style had a positive effect; however, avoidance style and firmness had a negative effect on happiness and work conscience; happiness and work conscience had a positive effect on innovative behavior; and also, happiness and work conscience played a mediating role in the relationship between conflict management and organizational innovation. Based on this, the results showed that the tested model with the conceptual model of the present study had a good fit and in addition to confirming the assumed paths, the mediating role of work conscience and happiness in the relationship between conflict management and innovative behavior was confirmed.
