Evaluation and Critique of Equalization Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Therapeutic Approach Based on Quranic Teachings and Narration
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy(ACT) is one of the new psychological therapies in the modern age. This approach recognizes the pain and suffering associated with human life and knows them as part of the experiences of human natural life. this type of therapy, by increasing the psychological flexibility for Man, seeks to change human communication with unpleasant and unwanted thoughts, feelings, and emotions through the application of six fundamental elements, namely acceptance, cognitive dissonance, contact with the present moment, grounding itself, committed action and values. The life-giving and heavenly Quranic educative teachings also contain rich and meaningful tips to build and quality human mental health. This comparative study aimed to find the many theoretical and conceptual similarities between this psychological approach and The educative teachings of the Qur'an. The results show that there is relationship between such concepts as patience and acceptance with the component of acceptance, rejection of evil, and evil temptations with cognitive anomaly, repentance and remembrance of blessings by contact with the present moment, self-knowledge of self-context and righteous practice. The comprehensiveness and extent of the Qur'anic guidance compared to the findings of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can help to further explain and extend this approach and to provide a way to alleviate one's psychological problems and satisfaction in one's life.
